The frenulum is a small band of tissue, located either beneath the tongue or just above the upper lip, and is meant to help restrict natural movement if the tissue is tight. Dr. Mehta is very intentional and uses mild techniques to perform a frenectomy in Calgary, just to release or remove the frenulum to improve function, while experiencing limited discomfort during the recovery period.
